
Sev Perelman, M.D., M.Sc., C.C.F.P.(EM)
A graduate of Medicine and a Master of Science in Cardiovascular Physiology, from the University of Toronto, Dr. Perelman completed Emergency Medicine training at the University of Western Ontario.
Sev is a Staff Emergency Physician at the Schwartz/Reisman Emergency Centre at Mount Sinai Hospital and holds a full time appointment as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Perelman is involved on a regular basis with Emergency Skills, ACLS and High-Fidelity Simulation Training and holds an Instructor Certificate from the Canadian Resuscitation Institute.
He has publications in several peer-reviewed journals including the "Annals of Emergency Medicine", the "Canadian Journal of Clinical Pharmacology", and the "Journal of Clinical and Investigative Medicine". He was the recipient of the Canadian National Resident Research Award, the North York General Hospital Award for Leadership in Family Medicine, and several teaching awards and nominations, including the Emergency Medicine Undergraduate Teaching Award from Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.
